Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long will it take you to set-up?

We like to set up in plenty of time, so at least 2 hours before the event,  If we are serving real ales, they may will need to settle for over 8 hours before serving so we may need earlier access in some occasions.

  • Do I need a licence or Temporary Event Notice (TEN)?

You will require a licence or TEN wherever Alcohol is sold, and entertainment (Disco or Band) is provided,  If we’re running your bar for you, we will organise the TEN from the local authority where your event is being held and the cost is included in your booking fee. The TEN is not necessary if your venue has a premises licence, Some village halls for example do but we will make the checks and advise you.

  • Can my guests bring their own drink?

Unfortunately not. Mobile Bars will be operating under our under an Temporary Event Notice (TEN) or using a venue’s Premises license, we have a duty of care to control the alcohol supplied. Any guests drinking their own drink,  may become a nuisance to others or a danger to themselves,  Breaking licensing regulations can lead to us being fined or loss of our personal licences. We have a clause in the booking Terms & Conditions to stop guests from consuming their own drinks, and we have the right to refuse service and/or close the bar.

  • Challenge 21 Policy

We operate a challenge 21 age verification policy on all of our mobile bars to comply with licensing objectives, Any one who appears to look under 21, will be challenged to prove they are over 18 when attempting to purchase age restricted products, They must then provide an acceptable form of identification,

For a standard bar of around 80-100 guests we like an area of about 3M x 3M (9ft sq).
